Avril Tabachnik

Executive Assistant to Dr. David J. Portowicz, Jaffa Institute

Avril graduated from the University of Cape Town, South Africa with a BA in Sociology and African Languages, followed by a Higher Diploma in Library Science.  She worked in Cape Town and Johannesburg as a librarian until emigrating to Canada in 1975.  While in Canada she qualified as a Cosmetician and make-up artist.  After living in Los Angeles and London, Avril made aliyah to Israel in 1985.  Initially she worked as a medical reference librarian before entering the Hi-Tech world.  She has worked at the Jaffa Institute since 1996 as Executive Assistant and right-hand to Dr. David J. Portowicz, Chairman and Founder.
