Therapeutic Clinic - Special Therapeutic Clinics are operated at two centers to help the many children in our care who suffer from psycho-social problems. At both program sites the clinics are staffed by full-time social workers, speech therapists, and special education teachers, as well as social work student interns. The clinics undertake psychological evaluations in which all of the children in our afternoon programs are assessed by a certified social worker/ psychologist upon intake, as well as periodically throughout the year, to determine if they have needs that may be addressed through the clinics. Counseling is provided on a weekly basis for those children who are most at-risk. Special education is provided to children with learning difficulties such as dyslexia and speech therapy is provided for children with speech impediments. In addition, family therapy is provided to help parents cope with their own tribulations, including how to communicate with their children without resorting to violence.

The Jack Mahfar Community Dental Clinic - All children participating in the afternoon programs are offered a complete range of dental care at the Jaffa Institute's Community Dental Clinic. Dental care is a luxury most Jaffa families cannot afford, as the national health insurance programs do not cover preventive dentistry. At the Jaffa Institute, a certified dentist and dental hygienist provide subsidized dental care to our children, as well as to the general Jaffa Community.
