Do a Mitzvah!

All it takes is a few easy steps:

2 Think of a project
3 Fill out a quick form to let us know a little bit about you and your project
4 Hold your event for your friends, family, and community

We’re throwing a Block Party!

Within the next four months, the Community Outreach team will be planning a block party for the Jaffa Dalet community. The Jaffa Institute’s Moadonit (after-school center) in Jaffa Dalet is an after-school program that offers enrichment opportunities, therapy, and a safe place to go after school for children of both Israeli and Ethiopian decent residing in this area. Currently, the program is struggling within its own neighborhood, as many children feel excluded from the efforts of the Moadonit in Jaffa Dalet and act out in response. The Moadonit would love to be further integrated within its own locale in order to bring a sense of community to program participants and families alike – in an area where it does not necessarily exist now.

This Tu’Bishvat, we are hosting an event in the neighborhood of Jaffa Dalet. The Moadonit in Jaffa Dalet and the surrounding community will be connecting for a day of fun!

If this is an event you would like to be involved in, we would be excited to partner with you to help fundraise for this community extravaganza!

Throughout the year, Youth4Youth and the Jaffa Institute staff travel all over the globe speaking to youth groups, clubs, synagogues, churches, communities, and schools! We also run educational programs!

Youth4Youth is a branch of The Jaffa Institute that focuses on creating meaningful connections between youth, teens and university students abroad with participants of The Jaffa Institute initiatives. Through volunteering, interning , fundraising and actively engaging in our community Youth4Youth is a growing youth network.

The Jaffa Institute is an extraordinary organization that connects with more than 5,000 volunteers in our mission to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty in the impoverished communities of Jaffa and South Tel Aviv. Each year, we run over 30 different educational, food security, and therapeutic support initiatives, including skills development programs for women and new immigrants, after-school enrichment activities for at-risk children, food security for families, the elderly, and Holocaust Survivors, as well as residential crisis intervention facilities for teens.

Our programs reach over 4,000 people annually. From children of foreign workers, Jewish and non-Jewish families, new immigrants, to Holocaust survivors, we work closely with community leaders and partners from within Israel and abroad to break the poverty cycle.
