Chezky Portowicz

Director of Israel Operations, Jaffa Institute

Chezky holds an MBA degree specializing in the non-profit sector from Ben Gurion University, an MA in Educational Administration from Touro College Israel, a B.Ed. from The Jerusalem College and a Teaching Certificate from Lifshitz College. Growing up surrounded by the work done by his father, Dr. David J. Portowicz, Chezky’s ambition was to work with and continue this vital programming. As a young man he taught in the Jaffa Institute programs and worked as an assistant administrator.  He then established and coordinated the Israeli Public Council of the Jaffa Institute and served as a Youth Trainer and Guide for the Military Service Preparatory Program.  As a sergeant in the IDF he served in the elite Nahal Corps.
