At the end of last week, the Jaffa Institute's summer camps finished after 8 consecutive weeks of providing the children in our programs with fun, safe and healthy recreational and academic activities.
Our camps allow children from underprivileged families to benefit from the structure of an enjoyable educational framework throughout the summer, keeps them from wandering around their high-crime neighborhoods and potential involvement with risky behavior.
The camps were attended by hundreds of boys and girls who participate year-round in our various afterschool programs.
The children enjoyed nutritious and delicious meals for breakfast and lunch.
We went on 20 field trips to fun and challenging attractions.
Additionally, the association has been active throughout the entire year, and even more so in the summer months, in providing learning opportunities to children who were evacuated from the northern and southern border regions and those who live just outside the evacuated zone but suffered trauma and school disruptions. We offered experiential STEM studies in our science mobiles as we sent the units, together with instructors, to border areas and hotels housing the evacuees.

School Supplies Campaign - You have the opportunity to make an impact right at the beginning of the school year
In recent weeks, we distributed hundreds of back-to-school kits for the benefit of the children in our programs.
Together, we have the opportunity to put a huge smile on the faces of 200 students returning to elementary and high schools next week who are not yet equipped and prepared for the new year.
A donation of NIS 300 will allow us to equip one student with a quality back-to-school kit.
